Nanowrimo and bookcovers and writing Sue Campbell on 28 Oct 2009 12:52 pm
I’m in!
All right, I am going to do Nanowrimo next month too! I started to feel guilty about offering prizes to the rest of you Nanowrimo-ers(?) when I wasn’t even giving it a try. So I signed up, and I will be attempting to add words to a novel I’ve fallen off track with. I know that’s not what they suggest, but I need to get this one back in my brain so I can maybe finish it one day. It’s my “learning to write a novel” novel. Though I’ve written and finished a number of short stories and poems, I’ve never finished a novel length anything. I’m convinced I need to get over this particular hump before I get distracted in another storyline. So I’ll count up the new words only and those will be my official Nano words.
I hope everyone who finishes, and finds my blog will enter to win a beeeuuutiful cover by you know who. Those I can finish! More info here: Nanowrimo Cover Contest. Free, free, free!

Not sure if you subscribe to this blog, but this post has you written all over it:

OMG! Yeah. What she said. Nobody but a designer really can understand how something that looks so effortless can have so many little details and steps in producing it. Thanks for the link, she’s got some great links to other info too.

I don’t know how in the world you’ll do it, but good luck! I figure I write 50,000 words a day, but a story they do not make! Fire up the coffee pot and have fun!
